Fasting

Good morning! How are you today? Are you fasting now? Do you remember that Ramadhan, the fasting month, will come again more less 30 days later? Today I am going to tell you about fasting, and the benefits that you can get from it.
We know the term fasting in English, that is the same as shaum in Arabic language. In Islam, all muslim have a must to do fasting in Ramadhan. Rasulullah has stated in hadits that by doing fasting we will get a healthy body. Beside for religious service, for muslims, fasting or shaum will benefit body. It is used for resting the body, decreasing burden of the body, and also cleansing toxin from the body. In many developed country, fasting is used as one of the treatment for someone that will have surgical operation. It is called fasting therapy. This method is already practiced by some developing countries such as Indonesia.
Then, I will tell you how fasting can make our body healthy. When someone do fasting, his stomache is empty for several hours. Emptiness in intestine will decrease chance for contact of toxin. This condition can prevent any disease, particularly colon cancer that can be happened because of the contact between carcinogen and colon.
The recent research health found that fasting brings a lot of benefits. One of them is as a detoxification technique. Health expert stated that detoxification should be done at least 30-40 days each year. This term is very close with the amount of fasting days in Ramadhan that all muslims have every year. Amazing! It proves that every activity in Islam is in order.
Detoxification surely can make our body healthy. It is very helpful for healing process of these diseases:
- asthma
- allergy
- head cold
- flu
- bronchitis
- rheumatism
- early stadium cancer
- insomnia
- depression
- stress
- hypertension
- obesitas
- sprue
- maag
- migrain
- liver spot
